Capture the Cache Exhibition Opening Reception

Join The Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area (NHA) for their Opening Reception on Tuesday, June 2nd, at Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center as they kick off their 4th annual Capture the Cache Exhibition. This juried art show will showcase local photography across various mediums. This year's theme honors the fusion of art and heritage tourism, featuring pieces inspired by the nature, recreation, and farm to table aspects of the Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area.

Be among the first to witness these stunning creations and celebrate with the artists as the awards for the exhibition are announced live. Attendees can enjoy live music, plein air art demonstrations, savor a drink, and indulge in hors d'oeuvres while experiencing the beauty of the Poudre River corridor through art. This will not be your average Tuesday night!

Do you encounter wildlife in your neighborhood or on your property? Please join us for practical, Colorado-specific strategies to manage acreage for wildlife, support local ecosystems, and care for livestock:

  • Wildlife-friendly fencing and grazing practices

  • How to create bird habitat

  • Planting for pollinators

  • Forage management to protect wildlife habitat

  • Livestock protection strategies to reduce predation risk

  • What to do if you encounter injured wildlife

  • Zoonotic diseases and safety considerations

Managing land in Colorado means sharing space with wildlife, whether it’s deer in your garden, carnivores near livestock, or birds seeking habitat. We’re bringing together local experts, including NRCS, Audubon Rockies, Environmental Health, NoCo Wildlife Center, Greenwood Wildlife, Larimer County Extension, and Boulder County Extension to share strategies on how to support habitat, reduce conflict, and protect your animals and property with practical, real-world strategies.

Grazing Industry Roundtable

The Public Lands Council invites grazing permittees to a series of roundtables this spring to discuss federal lands grazing issues.

WHO: The roundtables will bring together permittees and lessees with leadership from the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.

The roundtables provide an opportunity to increase dialogue and on-the-ground problem solving for grazing issues that the USDA/DOI Grazing Industry Plan and the recently-signed Advancing Grazing on Forest Service and BLM Lands MOU identified as a high priority.

Permittees/lessees: Register!

Local agency staff: Register. Include your work station under the permit location.

Staff from PLC affiliates: Register. Include your organization in the permit location.

WHAT: Join us to provide feedback to the agencies on:

  • existing regulations and guidance documents,

  • improvements in administration of the programs, and

  • methods to improve communication between the agencies and permittees

WHEN: May 4th, 2026

WHERE: Grand Junction. The specific location will be provided upon RSVP.
